Perfect for volunteers who love connecting with people and want to make a difference in creating positive festival experiences.

Volunteers who complete 6 or 10 hours July 18 – 20 will receive a day or weekend pass to enjoy the festival and an invite to the Volunteer Appreciation BBQ.

The Safety Squad, in purple shirts, is the visible, caring presence roving the festival site helping everyone enjoy FOTR in comfort and safety. They support a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy the music without harassment, unwanted contact, or other behaviors that go against our community values.

We’re seeking natural helpers who are inclusive, confident, and willing to step up when they see something amiss. Experience with de-escalation or first aid is an asset, but not required.

Comprehensive Bystander Intervention training by Ivy + Dean is provided to equip you with the skills to handle situations with care and confidence.

If you would like to make a bigger time commitment to the Festival, have first aid certification, and know the difference between safety and security, you should email the Volunteer Manager, Graeme Young, at graeme@folkontherocks.com, subject: “Team Coordinator.”
